Capacity Building, Branding & Art Direction

Ruang is a capacity-building programme led by Tuyang, supporting 19 cultural business practitioners from across Sarawak.

The programme brings together practitioners working in different mediums and contexts, creating space to pause, reflect, and think about how their work can grow. Through hands-on branding exercises, product development sessions, and shared learning, participants explore how to better communicate what they do without losing the cultural roots behind their practice.

Ruang isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. It’s about learning together, exchanging ideas, and building confidence over time. By working side by side, practitioners strengthen their businesses in ways that feel honest, practical, and grounded in place.
